The Nub Tshonapata Trek takes you through mountains of Haa in western Bhutan. The trek is considered unique and unexplored as many do not trek this region. Besides rich local lore, the turquoise colored Nub Tshonapata Lake, verdant and pristine forests remain as the highlight of the trek. The trail meanders through invigorating forests of rhododendron and juniper and spectacular passes as high 4350m high from the sea level.
Inclusions

Accommodation
3-star hotel (Bhutanese type), there is possibility of upgradation.

Flight ticket, insurance, tips, drinks and beverages, laundry, cellphone, internet and other personal expenditure or bills.

Day: 1 Arrive Paro International Airport
During the flight, one will experience breathtaking views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga and other famous Himalayan peaks, including the sacred Mount Juomolhari and Jitchu Drake in Bhutan. On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be received and escorted to hotel by our company (Tsholung) representative. After check-in to hotel you will be exploring Paro town.
Overnight hotel in Paro.
Day: 2 Paro Sightseeing
Morning: Drive to Drugyal Dzong, built against the victory over Tibetan invasion in the 17thcentury(a ruined fortress – 16Kms away from Paro town).
Afternoon: Visit the National Museum (watch tower). Once it served as the watchtower for the Rimpung Dzong, it was converted into the National Museum in 1968.
Visit the Paro Rinpung Dzong. A flagstone path rises gradually from a beautiful wooden bridge with shingle roofing an abutted by two guardhouses to the dzong. In the evening Drive to Haa. Overnight Hotel in Haa.
Day 3 : Haa to Womjii
14km (5-6 hours)
In the morning you will drive to Janidhingkha monastery where the trek begins with gentle climb up to Talela pass (3780m) passing through dense forest of conifers tress and Rhododendrons. The trek continues gentle and steep climb covering yaks harder’s camp up to Gochula pass (4200m). After the pass you have to descend until Womji, the Campsite for tonight.
Day 4: Womji to Tshonapatra
18km (6-7 hours)
From Womji the trails leads climbing steep through junipers and after few hours you will reach above tree line. Further you have to climb up to Gochhila pass at 4350m, where you can capture entire Tshejala range. From there you will continue by constant ascend and descend and reach at Tsejala pass. The trail continues by descending where you can see few scared lakes and reach at Tshonapatra. The campsite will be at Tshonaptra .
Day: Tshonapatra Halt
You will spend the entire day by walking near lake and exploring the surroundings. The lake is considered as most sacred lake because Buddhist Saint called Sherub Mebar discovered many treasure from the lake miraculously. There are also several Yak harder’s camps near the lake to explore in a day.
Day 5: Tshonapatra to Tshojo
16km (6-7 hours)
You will take same route till Gochhila pass, from there you will diverge towards Tshoju. The trails have several descend and ascend until Tshoju at altitude of 3780 metrs. On the way you will encounter few sacred lakes as well as some pasture lands. Camp will be at Tshoju.
Day 6: Tshoju to Haa, Paro
14km (5-6 hours)
The last day trek begins descending gradually through juniper and Rhododendron forest. From Telela pass you will re-enter the same trails and trek ends and drive to Paro. Overnight Hotel at Paro
Day 7: Departures from Paro Airport.
Departing from Paro international airport to your onwards destination. Head back to your destination with memories entangled by happiness.
