Bhutan Tsholung Tours & Travels
It’s not necessary to have formal dress code for the tourist. But shorts, skirts and revealing tight clothing are usually not appreciated. Bhutanese dress up formally when they visit Dzongs (fortresses) and temples, and if they see the foreigners in our national dress at this time they will always give a happy look. if you are not wearing Bhutanese dress, you should wear long pants (even if jeans), shirts with full sleeves, and more formal skirts below the knees when you visit the holy places. Hats and shoes are not permitted inside Dzongs (fortress) and temples. Your local guide will always assess you at any time.
